Pachinko and Pachislot

Pachinko and Pachislot markets are the largest activity within the Japanese leisure industry, with approximately 15% of the country’s population visiting one of the more than 13,500 PP parlors once a week. Income from the PP industry is estimated at more than $100 billion annually.

The first MLD®-based game was launched through Sanyo’s customer Abilit-the Onihama Pachislot machine.

Recently, this has been followed by Daiichi’s first Pachinko game using MLD® technology and is based on the Hollywood title : "The Matrix".

The reason these companies and others we are in discussions with find our Multi-Layer Display™ technology so compelling is that traditional 3–D displays seemed like a way to grab players’ attention, but the technology proved to be ill–suited for PP games due to the potential physical side effects – including dizziness, headaches and nausea. MLD®’s ability to deliver an eye–popping natural 3–D visualization experience without side effects or the need for glasses made it an attractive and superior alternative.

PureDepth® is aggressively pursuing the Pachinko and Pachislot markets and is presently talking to a number of the key participants in those markets.
